Type “ select partition n” ( where “n” is the partition number you want to have removed).
Type “ list partition” which will display a listing of all the partitions on the selected disk.
Type “ select disk n” ( where “n” is the disk number you want to have the partitions removed from).
Note the number of the disk which has the protected partition(s) to be removed.
Type “ list disk” which will display a listing of all disks.
Type “ cmd” ( there is no search box, just type it in) then under the “ Command Prompt” Desktop app choose “ Run as Administrator“.
Click on the “ Start” button at the bottom left of your screen.
The standard procedure does not work for Windows Recovery partitions or any other protected system partitions. To override this protection and forcefully delete them just follow these steps below ( Caution, heed warning at the end of these steps):
When warned that all data will be deleted ( assuming this is okay with you) choose “ Yes“.
Right click on the partition you wish to delete and choose “ Delete Volume“.
Click on “ Disk Management” from the list of options that appears.
Right click on the “ Start” button at the bottom left of your screen.
